AYN Internship Program Day 1

Both Mr. Nishad Upendra from Lanka Youth Organization Network (Sri Lanka) and Mr. Rior Santos of Youth for Sustainable Development Assembly (Philippines) arrived last November 5 2008 in Phnom Penh and they were both welcomed by Ms. Chan SoPheaktra representative of Youth Cambodian Council.

We arrived at YCC office and Ms. Mao Pouthroth, Program Coordinator of YCC gave us a brief orientation and tour to their office. She also introduced us to all the staffs and volunteers of YCC.

YCC also organized a welcome dinner for us in a traditional Khmer Restaurant where we were able to eat authentic Khmer Food. It was so delicious and we ate a love of good food.

It was a very nice experience for us because we were all able to see some of their activities and programs which are all very impressive. I personally learned a lot of things and new insights from them with regards to their local youth consultation and and program development. I am more excited to learn more as we visit various places and provincial offices of YCC and meet their local young leaders and volunteers.
